      How Tadalafil Works

Before we explain how Tadalafil helps manage ED, we need to explain how erections occur naturally. When you become aroused, your body releases a substance called nitric oxide (NO). In turn, levels of a chemical known as cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) increase in your body, relaxing the muscles on the sides of your penis so blood can flow into the organ and trigger a stiff erection.

While all this is happening, your body also compresses the veins that take blood away from the penis, so that the blood remains in place and you can maintain that erection. Eventually, the PDE5 enzyme in your body gets to work, and it processes the cGMP. When that happens, your erection dissipates, and the penis becomes flaccid once again.

If you have ED, regardless of the underlying cause, this natural process is somehow interrupted. That makes it more difficult for you to get or maintain an erection that’s sufficient for intercourse. And that’s where Tadalafil, a PDE5 inhibitor, can help. By blocking this enzyme in your body, you’ll have an easier time getting an erection and holding on to it until sex is complete.

As a PDE5 inhibitor, Tadalafil blocks the action of PDE5, which is the product for the enzyme PDE type 5. That’s because when there is PDE5 in there, it’s actually PDE type 5 is responsible for breaking down natural cGMP. That’s left to PDE5 to actually do its thing and that’s where Tadalafil’s benefits begin to flow. That is, if cGMP is available before there is PDE5 in, it can actually block your penis’ ability to get an erection.

When there is none of that, cGMP gets to work, and it’s actually PDE-5 that gets to work. And that’s where Tadalafil’s benefits start to flow. In turn, that’s why sex is complete.

How Tadalafil Works with Erectile Dysfunction

Tadalafil is available in generic forms – Cialis, Bevacizum and Propecia. When you get up off your tongue in a tablet, what comes to your mind is Cialis, which is also the brand name for the drug tadalafil. With generic Cialis, the dosage is lower – between 20 and 60 milligrams per day (36 to 3600 mg per day).

When you get a tablet with Cialis, you’ll take it, once a day, with or without food. And once you take Cialis, it stays in your system for up to 36 hours (varied). That’s because when you take Cialis, your body has to create the cGMP in order to function. That’s where tadalafil can help. That’s how ED begins to occur.

If you have ED, you can get generic tadalafil with either sildenafil (generic for Viagra) or tadalafil (generic for Cialis).

Sildenafil costs up to 80% off at select drugstores, and tadalafil at $5 per tablet is available at most drugstores, and at least 2-in-2 pharmacies. And while you might be able to buy generic sildenafil without a prescription, you’ll need a prescription to buy tadalafil.

Tadalafil is available in 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg forms. The 5 mg form is actually the most common – but not only that – because it comes in the order of 2.5 mg every day with or without food.

The 10 mg form is actually the most common – but not only because it comes in the order of 2.5 mg every day with or without food. And while that may seem like a lot, 2.5 mg could be an effective amount, but it’s actually 2-in-1 with or without PDE5 inhibitors. That’s because 10-in-1 PDE5 inhibitors work in order to inhibit the breakdown of cGMP.

When there is cGMP available, your penis doesn’t have to be firmer or harder. That’s why there are oftenOND PDE5 inhibitors available.

Tadalafil belongs to the group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors, primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Erectile dysfunction is the inability to keep a hard and erect penis suitable for sexual activity. Benign prostatic hyperplasia, also called prostate enlargement, is the non-cancerous growth of the prostate gland.

Tadalafil contains ‘Tadalafil’, which works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis; this allows the blood to flow into the penis when the person is sexually excited. Thereby, it helps to treat erectile dysfunction. Tadalafil relaxes the bladder and prostate muscles, thereby reducing enlarged prostate symptoms such as difficulty in urination and urgent need to urinate.

You are advised to take Tadalafil for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as headache, back pain, muscle pain, pain in the legs and arms, nasal congestion, indigestion, and facial flushing. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Tadalafil if you are taking nitrates (used to treat angina), riociguat (used to treat pulmonary hypertension) or alpha-blockers; if you have heart problems or stroke, low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure. Tadalafil is not intended for use in women. Tadalafil may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness. Tadalafil should not be given to children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and the medicines you are taking to avoid unpleasant side effects.
